PGDC-CET (2012), conducted by National Power Training Institute (NPTI) are scheduled to be declared at 5.00 pm on the NPTI's website on June 22. Candidates are required to clear this exam to gain admission into one of the seven Regional Institutes of NPTI. This will be the 17th batch of this course which shall commence from August 20.
The NPTI is a reputed organization committed to enhancing human and organizational excellence in Power and Energy Sectors. The aim of the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering is to supplement the basic technical knowledge acquired by students in engineering colleges at the undergraduate level with Applied Engineering skills in order to train them for efficient functioning at every stage of power supply industry. The course consists of two semesters covering formal training at institutes and on-job training at thermal plants. Due to their close links with important organziations in the power industry,  students are usually placed with reputed companies before the completion of their course.

After the declaration of results, selected candidates are required to attend the counseling at Nagpur between July 11 and July 13 with their relevant original documents such as Birth Certificate and Educational Degrees. A second counseling, if required will open from August 31, 2012.
