planning activities – Finished part requirements-
operating sequences-
machine selection – material selection parameters- Set of documents for process planning- Developing
manufacturing logic and knowledge-
production time calculation – selection of cost optimal processes.
UNIT III
INTRODUCTION TO COST ESTIMATION 7
Objective of cost estimation- costing – cost accounting- classification of cost- Elements of cost.
UNIT IV COST ESTIMATION 8
Types of estimates – methods of estimates – data requirements and sources- collection
of
cost- allowances in estimation.
UNIT V PRODUCTION COST ESTIMATION 10
Estimation of material cost, labour cost and over heads, allocation of overheads – Estimation for different types of jobs.
