AIM
To develop the skills in the area of HVDC power
transmission with the analysis of HVDC converters,
harmonics and design of filters.
OBJECTIVE
i. To understand the concept, planning of DC power
transmission and comparison with AC
power transmission.
ii To analyze HVDC converters.
iii To study about compounding and regulation.
iv To analyze harmonics and design of filters.
v To learn about HVDC cables and simulation tools.
