Adjectives


What is an adjective?
An adjective is a word which qualifies a noun and indicates the quality, kind, quantity, number etc., of a person, place or thing.

There are many kinds of adjectives.
1. Adjectives of quality
2. Adjectives of quantity
3. Adjectives of number
4.  Adjectives of Place
5. Adjectives of manner
6. Distributives Adjectives
7. Interrogatives Adjectives

1.       We form comparatives by adding ‘er’ and the superlative ‘-est’.

2.       We form comparatives by adding ‘more’ and the superlative ‘Most’.

3. Irregular comparison
The following adjectives are compared irregularly, that is, their comparative and superlative are not formed from positive.
